Welcome to Japan in 47 Prefectures. This is my first podcast so I expect there to be a bit of a learning curve but I hope you will enjoy it and provide plenty of feedback so that I can improve with each iteration.
To begin, I must admit I have not visited Japan. However, I have a long standing interest in the country and the history of Japan. This is part of my impetus for creating this blog/podcast. The other reason is that I do not expect to travel there in the near future. I thought it might be interesting to take a virtual tour of Japan in lieu of visiting in order to learn more about the country that interests me so greatly. Why not bring a few others along for the ride? While I expect to visit the prefectures in a roughly north to south manner I may return to previous prefectures on occasion. This is my vacation and I do not have a grand plan.
